Who qualifies to apply Every applicant must be 18 or older, have at least one year of paid or volunteer childcare experience, and be currently or previously enrolled in a higher education institution.
Application review A Wyndy team member manually reviews every application, including childcare experience, written responses, and communication skills. We're looking for sitters who meet our standards before they ever appear in your search results.
Background screening Each sitter completes a multi-part background check:
Social Security Number Trace: Confirms identity and previous addresses
Enhanced Nationwide Criminal Database: Searches national, state, and county records; any matches are verified through court records
Family Watchdog Check: Screens against national sex offender registries
College verification We verify current enrollment or past graduation through the National Student Clearinghouse.
